Vaccinations

Part of our pediatric services are performing the different vaccination. Already in the first months of life should the infant baby be vaccinated. They need the most effective protection against different diseases. Already in the 3-4 month of life the first vaccination can be given. Each child will get a vaccination calendar and a certificate in which will be stated which vaccination have he or she already received and when will the next vaccination to be carried. The vaccination which will be performed are as followed:

  • Rotaviruses
  • Tetanus
  • Diphtheria
  • Whooping cough
  • Hib
  • Polio
  • Hepatitis B
  • Pneumococcal disease
  • Meningococcal disease C (Type B and ACWY can be done privately in our clinic)
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella
  • Chicken pox
  • HPV
  • Herpes zoster
  • Flu (Influenza)
  • FSME
  • RSV

Next to the regular vaccinations, there are also some extra vaccinations which are needed if traveling abroad. In young age some vaccination should be refreshed.

In principle those parents who don’t want to vaccinate their children (due to matter of principle and without any medical cause), could not be treated in my clinic. In order to protect the other small children in our clinic especially those who has immundeficiency (e.g. after organ transplantation or immune defect) all the other children must have sufficient vaccine status to avoid transmitting any contagious diseases in the clinic and the waiting room.
